Common Issues and Solutions


App Download and Installation

Issue: Unable to download the app
Solution:

  • Ensure your Android device is running Android 7 or later, and your iOS device is running iOS 10 or later.
  • Check your internet connection and try downloading again.
  • If the issue persists, contact our support team for assistance.

App Crashes

Issue: The app crashes frequently or unexpectedly
Solutions:

  • Verify your device's operating system meets the minimum requirements (Android 7 or later, iOS 10 or later).
  • Restart your device and try opening the app again.
  • Clear the app's cache and storage settings:
    • Android: Go to Settings > Apps > RelaySMS > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
    • iOS: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > RelaySMS > Delete App. Then, reinstall the app from the App Store.

Verification Code Issues

Issue: Unable to receive verification codes
Solutions:

  • Double-check the phone number used for your account. Ensure it's active and receiving SMS messages.
  • Try requesting a new verification code.
  • If the issue persists, contact our support Team for assistance.

Platform Saving Issues

Issue: Unable to save platforms to your account
Solutions:

  • Verify that the access to the platform is not already saved to another RelaySMS account.
  • Log out of your account, clear the app's cache and data, and log back in.
  • Try saving the platform again.
  • If the issue persists, contact our support team support team

Message Publishing Issues

Issue: Messages are not publishing
Solutions:

  • Try using a different gateway client.
  • Log out of your account, clear the app's cache and data, and log back in.
  • If you haven't used the account for a long time, revoke access to the platform and restore it.
  • Check your SIM card is active and able to send SMS messages.
  • If the issue persists, contact our support team for assistance.

Additional Tips

  • Update the App: Ensure you have the latest version of the RelaySMS app installed.
  • Restore tokens: It is recommended to revoke and restore access to your platforms on the app every 3 to 6 months.
  • Check for Network Issues: Verify that your device is active and is able to send SMS messages.
