Step 4 - Back up and restore

Important: RelaySMS stores your saved platforms on your device. If you delete the app or switch phones, you can lose them. Back up regularly.

Back up​

  1. Tap the 3-dot menu (top right corner of home screen).
  2. Tap Back Up.
  3. Tap Back Up Now.
  4. A file is created. Tap Save.
  5. Tap View Verification Key.
  6. Copy the key and save it somewhere safe.

Confirm back up​

  1. Tap the 3-dot menu (top right corner of home screen).
  2. Tap Back Up.

You should see your last backup

Restore​

Important: You can only restore a backup on the welcome screen while on-boarding

  1. While on-boarding click "Restore backup".
  2. Choose your backup file.
  3. Enter your verification key.
  4. Done. Your platforms are restored.
